Starting with her own family, Debbie believes in moving the Southland forward which is why she chose to stay in the Southland to raise her beautiful daughters who have gone on to successful professional careers in a variety of competitive work environments.

Debbie believes in common sense gun legislation and works tirelessly to keep guns off of the streets and out of the hands of offenders. She's been a community advocate for years prior to becoming a Village Trustee and Municipal Mayor. Debbie works with other elected officials fighting for the needs of all the citizens of the State of Illinois.

Debbie was instrumental in the Village’s partnership with Franciscan Health Hospital’s $116 million dollar expansion in Olympia Fields which allowed a major healthcare provider to remain in the South Suburban region. She is currently working with other Southland legislators to ensure the development of the South Suburban Airport in Peotone, Illinois.
